The natural way to organize your time

Hands-on Organizing

How do we get started?
We start with a phone consultation. This consultation lasts about thirty minutes and is your opportunity to ask questions and tell us what you want to organize. There is no charge for the consultation, even if you decide not to hire Space Inventors.

During this conversation, we will ask you what is working in your space and what is not. Most people find the question "what isn't working?" to be the easier question. After all, that is why you called us! But the answer to "what is working?" is just as valuable. It tells us what your natural organizing style is (yes, you do have one!) and lets us know what your priorities are.
What happens during a hands-on organizing session?
Our first appointment will start with a quick walk-through of your home or business. You do not have to show us every area - we respect your privacy. The areas you do share will tell us what space and supplies you have for us to work with.

At this time, please tell us one or two things you want to accomplish during our time together. Our session will last three hours (or longer if you wish) and we want to make sure we meet your needs.

We will then work with you side-by-side, one-on-one to reclaim your space. Our time together will be fun, hard work, enlightening, and sometimes emotional, but you won't be doing it alone. Together we will invent the perfect space!

Client success stories

Green organizing
Co-op America Space Inventors is proud to be an eco- and people-friendly business. As a "green business," we are concerned about limiting both the nature and volume of the products we and our clients consume and discard. Clients who are similarly concerned about respecting the environment and exercising thoughtful purchasing habits will find a sympathetic ear when working with Space Inventors.

We provide our clients with options to donate their unneeded goods, and encourage them to reuse or buy locally-produced, fair-trade, or organic goods when possible.

What if I'm not a tree-hugger?
At no point in our session together will we ask you to hug a tree! However, there are a few things you will notice about our style.

  • We will encourage you to find new homes for any unwanted items. Of course, we have plenty of resources for donating items in the Lehigh Valley and will share them with you to make this process as easy as possible. If you are not accustomed to donating rather than throwing things out, you may be surprised at how good you feel! Donating your unneeded but serviceable items to those who will use them can bring great joy. And knowing that your things are going to a new home may even make it easier for your to let go of them.

  • We will encourage you to recycle your household or office waste. Often this is just as simple as putting a paper recycling bin under your desk. If you have been annoyed by finding space for recycle bins, you'll be surprise how much easier it is once your space is organized.

  • We will encourage you to select eco-friendly products when they are available and to patronize locally-owned businesses. Again, we have plenty of resources in these areas to make this as easy as possible. Once you become accustomed to the higher level of service that small local businesses offer, you may never again go back to a "big box" store to hear a clerk say "I don't know, I just work here."

If this approach to managing your stuff sounds enlightening, give us a call! All in all, you don't have to hug a tree to work with us. But it helps if you're at least willing to shake hands!
